Our Nation's energy challenges require continued action. We
need to reduce our dependence on foreign sources of energy – including on the
natural gas that is a source of electricity for many American homes and the
crude oil that supplies liquid fuels for our vehicles. We must become energy
independent to ensure future generations have the ability to power their needs.
Miller Mackenzie is pleased to announce completion of the
first phase of its alternative energy initiative. As of July 15th, 2008 we will be producing 34.8Kw of
energy daily via our newly completed solar array. We intend to expand our
energy grid significantly in 2008 and 2009.
Two of four planned Wind Turbines will be installed prior to December 15th, 2008 bringing
the potential daily output to 92.4Kw per day. The remaining two Turbines will
be brought online in June of 2009, bringing the total daily output to our
planned 150Kw by December 2009.
In addition, we added a GEM Electric Vehicle to our Nursery
Fleet earlier this year and are exploring the possibility of high-voltage DC
pumps to move water more efficiently.
We are firmly committed to utilizing alternative sources of
energy and conservation of our precious resources.
